As an OEM, we do realize it is our responsibility to service and repair any TC Sounds manufactured drivers, however we do not directly repair drivers that we manufactured for other brands expect for our own. For TC-built non TC-brand drivers, please contact the dealer or source you purchased them from. In other words, unless it is a TC Sounds brand driver, we may refuse to repair or recone the driver.

Many of these drivers have replaceable top assemblies. For those drivers, unless impossible, we will only build and ship a replacement top assembly. For instructions how to remove the old and install the new top assembly, please call or email us. Shipping the driver to and from TC Sounds is unnecessary. Warranty


Each TC Sounds driver has a 1 year limited warranty from the original purchase date. TC Sounds warrants each product to be free from defect for this period of time. In the case of failure not withstanding any warranty exceptions, TC Sounds will replace or repair the defective product if proper proof of purchase can be presented.
Some drivers have detachable top assemblies. Top assemblies are replacements for damaged drivers. In the case of damage, they can be easily replaced in a matter of just minutes. All of our assemblies come fully assembled and ready to install onto existing motors. Our assemblies are strictly for our own products and can not be used on any of our OEM products or products other than the specific drivers they are designed to be used for because they physically will not install.

We will not issue repair on our new drivers unless they are under warranty or the repair is paid for. If you have damaged your driver under warranty, then we will ship you a new top assembly or pay to have your product shipped back to us and repair it free of charge and send it back to you.

Warranty does not include:

Misuse or over excursion.
Thermal abuse to the voice coil or glues around the voice coil.
Thermal abuse to the lead wires on the spiders.
Dents in the cone from bottoming out the driver or inadvertent force.
Dents in the voice coil former from bottoming out.
Delimitation of the voice coil former due to heat.
Stretched spiders from over excursion or misuse.
Objects becoming lodged inside the gap and disrupting the voice coil.
Any damage occurring while putting power to a top assembly without a motor attached.
Scratches or dents in the cone done by user.
Spider sag due to gravity.
Over-excursion from playing the driver outside a box, in an infinite baffle or in any kind of vented box where the air pressure does not protect the driver and no proper high pass filter employed.
SPL “burping” beyond the specified maximum power limits.
Any damage occurring with improper voice coil wiring including uneven power loads relative to each coil or unused coils or any other configuration not listed or recommended by us.
Damage due to moisture.
Shipping damages.
Cost of shipping to TC Sounds.
Custom service or modification to the driver not performed by TC Sounds.
Fire started by the voice coil or voice coil leads.
Static noise or hum emitting from driver from unwanted electrical influences.
Cosmetic damage.

Warranty strictly includes:

All obvious cosmetics
Improperly glued surrounds, suspensions, formers or misaligned coils.
Detached or unglued surrounds
Broken cones near the surround joint
Voice coils that collide with the gap or t-yoke under normal conditions where no preexisting abuse has occurred
Alignment of the voice coil
Motor glues.

We do realize many of our customers have many questions about our drivers, applications, design goals and systems requirements. We do our best to provide each customer with technical support, but please keep in mind, each application is unique and can take a tremendous amount of time. We first recommend that you sticky adhere to our standard enclosure and power suggestions as posted above. If you need advice beyond this, you may email us and we will do the best we can to provide you accurate information for your application. We will not recommend any particular brand of amplifier so please don’t ask. We will only recommend a given power load and possible EQ settings which may or may not be possible without discrete active EQ.
